Mike started sanding the walls and some of the repairs - this room has had many many layers of stuff (paint, wallpaper, drywall repair) - so Mike is working hard to get it back down to the smooth walls. We are really glad he started this because it spread reddish-purple dust everywhere in the room, including the ceiling and crown moulding - we had planned to paint the ceiling/crown and then move on to the walls, and that would have meant we would have had to re-paint all of it.... Thank God we found this out now!!!
So you know how they say things usually have to get worse before they get better.... well, we are living it!!!!

Well, we had a busy day - slept in a little, had lunch, got groceries and then got to work on the reno... back to work tomorrow, off tuesday, work wednesday and thursday and then off for 5 days - we are having the family over for July 4th and we are looking forward to spending the holiday weekend with our famileis =) We were just saying today that it seems like it was just yesterday that it was the 4th of July 2007 and we were finding out from Matt and Beth that Andrew was on the way... now we can't imagine our family without him in it. What a difference a year makes huh?
Heading off to relax and watch some TV before bed - 5am comes around REALLY soon!!!
