Girls Weekend & Twilight: New Moon Premiere!!

So I told you it wouldn’t be long before we would get to see Chiara and Ava again… and what a better event to get them to NC than the Midnight Premiere of the Twilight Saga: New Moon!!!

Chiara and Ava arrived in town a few days ahead of the big premiere so that we could all enjoy some time together! We did lots of playing, eating, “wining down” and preparing for the big event!

Ava was able to attend Dance Class with Alyssa so of course that called for new matching leotards….

In addition to dance class, the girls did a lot of dancing and singing to their favorite pop music – Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift (aka Taylor Swifter) were high on the list!!

So as the girls spent their days in matching heaven….

dancing, playing and singing (and keeping Andrew laughing too!!!) The adults got down to the nitty gritty of planning an TRUE TAILGATE PARTY!!!!

Matt was kind enough to splurge on this big outdoor movie screen so we could set up a projector (courtesy of my lovely Michael) and watch Twilight before we went in to see the midnight showing of New Moon!!

This was when we realized we were “big time”….

So the big night had finally come – November 20th… All of the months of planning and waiting was over… We had planned our shirts out meticulously and by the skin of our teeth, Beth and my shirts arrived by UPS the day of the event!!!!

We had Hot Dogs and even Smores too!!!

I had an awesome headband made for the event with dark black/green and red feathers… it even had a cage veil on it!!!

Some of the Girls from work… You are either a Team Edward Girl or a Team Jacob Girl… there was a good variety of both…

It looks Anna was not pleased that Kate had gone Team Edward…

Our set up…. It was so wild – people were coming up to us and asking if we do this every Thursday and how awesome it was….

We ended up having about 25 women out there and it was so much fun!!! Everyone was laughing and arguing of who Edward loves the most - clearly it’s me… clearly….


Jacob tried, but I am Team Edward ALL THE WAY!!!


Sadly the next morning I ended up with Strep Throat and ear infection… so our girls weekend didn’t end out the way I had hoped but it was still an awesome time that was better because Chiara was here =)
