Christmas 2009

Well Our early December trip really got us in the mood for Christmas this year!  We both had vacation from our jobs and it was wonderful to just spend some time together.  We put up the tree the weekend we got back from Asheville.  Mike put up the garland and lights outside too!
I was super busy though trying my best to get all my orders for the photography business in and finalized so everyone would have everything they ordered before the holidays!  Thankfully, nothing was delayed and I was able to deliver all my packages and goodies to my clients like Santa without delay =)

I spent the morning on Christmas Eve baking (fortunately with Michael’s help, even though he was a tad disgruntled!!!) and we made lots of goodies – Christmas M&M Cookies, Chocolate Crinkles, Peanut Butter Blossoms, Oreo Balls and Pretzel Hugs too!
We got the house ready and welcomed Holly, Ted & Riley in for a fun Christmas Dinner and Gift Exchange!  Riley was so much fun this year – We got her a play kitchen and she seemed to love it, even before Mike and Ted had a chance to get it completely put together!!!

Michael and I spent a quiet Christmas morning together, opening our gifts at home.  We made a fire and it was so quiet and peaceful….. until ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE when I opened one of my gifts from my sweet Hubby:

it took me a few seconds to pick my jaw up off the ground but that quiet was soon followed by about a thousands “are you kidding me?” and SQUEALING with PURE DELIGHT!!!!!!

Say Hello to my Little Friend….

I am so excited for 2010 to get underway now – I can’t wait to see what is has in store for Emilee Beth Photography!!!

After our quiet, and not so quiet morning, we packed up our “sleigh” and headed to Wake Forest to my brother’s house for Christmas with the Andersen' Family….

Alyssa met us at the door and told us “I was mostly good this year and Santa brought us lots of presents because he trusts us to be better next year” – I almost busted apart at my seems!!!!

Beth and I spent a lot of hours making them a custom photo box filled with 200 5x7 prints from our trip to VT and our Family Photos that were taken by the talented Robert Wagner!!!  Mom was already crying and I think Dad was pretty stoked too =)

Alyssa got a “Blue Glitter Hair Stick” (what can I say… I am trying to give her a little bit of her Auntie’s Spunk…) and she didn’t want anything to do with until she saw how cool it was on Pappy and Nahne…. then she wanted more blue!!!

Andrew LOVED Alyssa’s Gingerbread Chap stick which in addition to applying to his tongue, he put on his forehead, in his hair, on his nose and his chin =)

I think the ball pit and the huge supply of my old beanie babies was a big hit too =)

After a nice afternoon with the Andersens… the sleigh had one more stop to make….
We couldn’t let her first Christmas go by without seeing our God Daughter (and her parents too)….

This kid loves my headbands and is always so fashionable in them!!!

but we ultimately lost her attention to my cozy lap….

By the end of the night we both felt about how Harper did…. EXHAUSTED!  Of course it wouldn’t be a holiday without me having a cold…. so between all the excitement of the Holiday, and the Restless Sneezy, Sniffly, Coughing Nights I had…. It was time to say good night!
We hope you all had as amazing a Christmas as we did… we were so blessed to be able to share it with the people we love the most!

You guys were quite the "Mr. & Mrs. Claus" this year. You are so generous to everyone else I'm glad you were able to take a relaxing vacation just the two of you.
