This weekend we went and picked out a Christmas Tree! We had gotten lots of great tips on places around Raleigh to get a tree and chose Boyce Farm mostly due to it's close proximity and we were so happy with that decision! The prices were very good and everyone was super helpful! We even almost had the tree flocked too!!! We decided against it because it takes 24hours to dry! Maybe next year on that! What looked too small out at the farm turned out to still be a bit too big for our cramped living room (especially this year with the addition of a baby swing and exersaucer!!!) Arden wore her special onesie that Sarah made her and we were thrilled that Santa stopped by for a pic! We added the lights on Saturday evening after Mike got it all set up but waited to decorate it on Sunday night because I had to work Saturday from 7p-3a!
Mike and Arden by our "little big tree"
Arden's first picture with Santa!
One of her new headbands from a favorite shop of mine!
Mike brings the mammoth in the house!
You know I couldn't leave well enough alone with a camera and a Christmas tree in the same room!
What Arden did while we put the lights on the tree, LOL - it's so tiring meeting Santa!
I think for the rest of my life this will always be one of my most favorite photographs. Every year for the past 6 Christmas' we have thought "maybe next year we will have a baby..." It just never was, next year came and went, and came and went, and came and went... So this year, she's here and we are so in love...
My Willow Tree Nativity (I say this word very southern now.. Like "Nay-Tiv-ity") that grows every year thanks to Nahne. Love this idea I found on pinterest and we added the lights too for the first time!
Always time to steal some of her sugar...
TADAA!!!!
