Arden's Baptism

Arden Maeve was Christened following the 11:30 mass on Sunday 12.16.2012 at
The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church

 

Although the day was rainy and gloomy, Arden was in her usual bright and happy spirits! 

My Mom showed me MY baptismal gown the week before Arden was baptized and even though we had a very special gown made for her, I wanted her to wear this for at least some of the day.  It didn't fit her as a dress but was a very cute tunic over her Persnickety Bloomers and she wore it during the mass before her baptism.

 

After Mass, Mike and I did a "not-so-quick" change in to her handmade gown.

I plan to dress her back up in everything this week or next and will get some more formal pictures!

 

Here she is enamored by Alyssa and Andrew (as it seems my Mom is too!) before the baptism!

Thankful for our Brother in Law Ted who stood in as the photographer so I could actually enjoy the baptism!

Matt and Beth are her Godparents and held her for the big moment!

Father John is do amazing with the kids and included them all every step of the way which was so wonderful!

 

The problem with having too many cameras to look at... no images of everyone looking at the same one!! LOL!

Once we were finished at the church, we headed over to my parents house for a fun Holiday/Baptism Brunch! 

(and really, if there is a "Mimosa Bar" it's just bound to be a good time!)

I was so over the moon happy with how her cake turned out!  It was just what I was hoping for!!

 

Mom and Dad's house served as the perfect backdrop for our little gathering...

 

 

 

I bought these Persnickety outfits for the girls last year for Christmas and had wanted to get a picture of them together.  Shortly after I pre-ordered them in October, I found out I was pregnant and then the dreaded hyperemesis kicked in and there would be no cute photo sessions... Was so happy to see them together in outfits that still fit!!!

Her 3rd wardrobe change of the day - hanging with her great grandpa =)
