Remembering 9/11

My friend Beth Anne's blog inspired me to make post similar to hers....

It is hard to believe that it has been 7 years since that fateful day. I wonder if any of us will ever forget the "where we were's" and the "what we were doing when's"... I just hope we never get so used to war that this day stops reminding us what our troops are fighting for.

This year my cousin Brian is in Iraq. I can't believe it - he was just here in NC for a visit this past year and although he is no small chicken (you will clearly see just how not small he is in a second)... he is still my "little cousin" - he just turned 21 and recently lost one of his platoon members. I am so sad for that young man's family, yet so thankful that it wasn't Brian.

Please keep Brian, the troops and those family's who became one or more less on 9/11 in your prayers.

Here he is in Iraq:
We love you and are so proud of you Brian!
